The Shadow FatBoy 2.4kW is a powerful single-lamp short-wave infrared heater, designed to deliver high-performance heating in industrial and commercial environments. Featuring an oversized parabolic reflector, it provides exceptional heat output from a single 2.4kW Ultra Low Glare lamp.

Designed for applications where powerful, targeted heating is required, the Shadow FatBoy delivers impressive performance even when mounted at heights of up to 3.5m, making it ideal for a range of industrial settings.

The Shadow FatBoy is particularly suited to larger spaces or areas where installing multiple heaters may not be practical. Its short-wave infrared technology heats people and objects directly rather than the surrounding air, providing effective warmth even in draughty or exposed environments. With an IP65 rating, the heater is also protected against dust and water ingress, making it suitable for a variety of indoor and outdoor applications.

• The heater must be mounted in a well-ventilated area. There must be at least a 0.5m clearing between the heater and ceilings / roofs
• There must be at least a 0.5m clearing between the heater and adjacent walls / fabrics
• There must be at least a 1.8m clearing between the bottom edge of the heater and the floor

When using a Fatboy heater in commercial premises or other locations where the heaters are used continuously for very long periods of time then it is advisable to consult an electrician. A 2.4kW heater used for very long periods of time may need to be hard wired into a 20A fused spur rather than using the standard 13A socket.
